Be alert for marketers gathering student info in classrooms

Campus Security has received a report from faculty members concerned about unusual marketing activity in classrooms.

All faculty and staff are asked to be aware of non-student visitors in classrooms asking students to provide their contact information. In some cases, clipboards have been left in classrooms prior to the start of classes.

After providing their information students are being recruited by a third party. This activity has not been approved by UBC.
