DVC Town Hall and Welcome Back BBQ graphic

Aug. 29: Annual welcome back celebrations

Next Thursday, DVC and Principal Deborah Buszard will provide a semi-annual Town Hall update followed by presentations of the 2019 Staff Awards of Excellence from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Commons classroom COM 201.

At 11:30 a.m. the Welcome Back BBQ and Information Fair gets underway in the central courtyard. All faculty and staff are welcome.

Fire safety reminder

Summer is still with us in the Okanagan and with long-range weather forecasts predicting uncertain amounts of precipitation, the fire danger rating is currently sitting at high.

Campus Security would like to remind the campus community to be extra vigilant with any flammable materials that you might be using.

Are you protected?

On May 31, UBC rolled out Enhanced CWL (multi-factor authentication) to all members of the campus community. This means if you need to login to any UBC service which uses CWL to verify your identity, you must now use Enhanced CWL in order to login.

Enrollment takes less than 5 minutes. Do it now by visiting mfadevices.id.ubc.ca. And don’t forget to enroll multiple devices (e.g. landline and cell phone) to make sure you always have a backup.
