April 9: opening of UBC's Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre

On April 9, UBC will mark the formal opening of the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre at the Vancouver campus.

In addition to the official opening, the April 9 ceremony will also include a statement of apology on behalf of UBC for its role in the system that supported the operation of the Indian residential schools.

Parking Lots G and C closed from April 23 to end of August

Parking lots G and C will be closing to allow construction of a new road – Upper Campus Way – connecting UBC Okanagan to John Hindle Drive

Beginning April 23, parking lots G and C will be closed for the summer. This will affect payroll permit holders and day pass purchasers.

During this time, lot G permit holders will be permitted to park in any of the other lots on campus, with the exception of lot K.

Library open 24/7 during exam period

The UBC Okanagan Library is getting ready to shift to a 24-hour schedule for the upcoming exam period.

The library will be open all hours from April 8 at 10 a.m. until April 24 at 10 p.m., giving students more hours and opportunities to finish their academic year successfully.
